My Role

  Lead Product Designer

I have spearheaded the overall planning and execution of all processes within the project. I led regular meetings with stakeholders and developers, sharing the current progress, understanding precisely what stakeholders desired, and ensuring the project aligns with the UX design flow.

Once the research phase concluded, I took charge of designing everything from style guides to wireframes and prototypes. Currently, I am iterating through the ideation process following usability testing. Additionally, I am actively collaborating with developers during the development phase.

Goals and Priorities:

Q. What are the main objectives of this program?

For Parents: Provide a feature that allows parents to track their children's study habits and academic progress. This may include features such as real-time grade updates, attendance records, and communication channels with teachers.
For Students: Empower students with tools for self-analysis of their grades and academic performance. This could involve detailed breakdowns of their scores, comparisons with class averages, and recommendations for improvement.

Q. What functionalities are most critical, and what could be added later?

  1. Attendance Tracking: A feature to monitor students' attendance status.
  2. English Vocabulary Test Pass/Fail: Functionality to track whether students pass or fail their English vocabulary tests.
  3. Homework Submission: Capability for students to submit their homework assignments.
  4. Test Scores: Recording and displaying mock exam scores.
Given these essential features, it's a good starting point for the development of your English language academy student management program.
You can focus on implementing these functionalities to meet the immediate needs, and later,
if necessary, consider adding additional features based on user feedback and evolving requirements.

Student Information Manangement:

Q. What types of student information need to be collected and managed?

Personal information - Name, age, classroom, assigned teacher, parents’ phone number, students’ phone number, attendance records, class schedules, grades, and actual test papers.

From teachers: Assign test, homework, class schedule, and class notices.

Report and Analytics:

Q. What kinds of reports or analytics are needed? How should information related to grade tracking, learning progress, student achievements, etc., be displayed?

  1. Grade: Graph with chart

  2. Learning progress: I don’t need it, but I need to have a checkbox for homework and daily word tests.

Q: What design requirements are there to ensure that users can easily understand and use the program?

A clean and straightforward user interface that emphasizes essential information and utilizes color effectively.

User Interface:

Problem Statement

A great challenge for teachers is to follow up on the numerous tasks of many students on a daily basis. As a result, a significant amount of time is spent on tasks such as homework checks, attendance management, and reviewing exam results, which could otherwise be utilized for lesson preparation.

“HOW MIGHT WE”

Reduce the time spent on student management and allocate that time towards meaningful lesson preparation?
This would enable teachers to deliver higher-quality lectures.
